Corona Lockdown - Day 4 - 28th March 2020
I must say, this was a lazy Saturday. I usually start my day around 5 or 5.30 am, but today had woke up around 8. I never understand how my alarms will get turned off themselves on weekends :). Early in the morning while cooking breakfast I usually play Maha Mruthyunajay Manthra 108 time in my bluetooth speaker. I keep the volume low, I feel good listening to Shankar Sahney's Bhajans. They are soothing. Even today, when I started with cleaning last night's utensils in kitchen, was listening to this and it feels really good.
Entire nation is locked down. Parents at Coorg, In laws at Mysore and we are in Bengaluru. The communication is through video conferences. Thanks to Whatsapp and Duo video calling features. I am certain this Corona will leave earth sooner. I was curious to know , once this pandemic is over, how people tend to behave. Whether they still wear mask, do we still use sanitizer all the time, do we get used to be at home and chill out, do we get used to work from home and get bored to come out of home, do we still shake hands with people or stick to namaste and whether we go out and stand at two meter distance in the grocery stores. Anyways its a 21 days lockdown period and it takes 21 days to form a habit as per research. Lets wait and see.
This is what I could do today being at home, without officially working from home.
Breakfast: Dry fruits and milk ( wasn't hungry and got up late, my morning two glasses of water makes me hydrated and energized)
Lunch: curd rice with potato chips
Dinner: Onion uttappam with groundnut chutney ( one of my favorites )
Not so much of cooking today compared to normal Saturdays as Poori and Saagu would rule on breakfast.
Cleaning: All the taps in kitchen , bathrooms and dining area are pretty new now. There is a wonderful Modicare cleaner one of my friends had got me. It did wonder. Missing my maid but I almost did all the work she used to do on weekends.
Meditation : There are two sessions everyday from Sri Sri Ravishankar Guruji. One at 12 to 12.30 PM and other at 7.30 to 8.00 PM. I could join both. These sessions are just beautiful as they are lead by guruji himself and it just cleanse the head and the unwanted thoughts.
New Learning: Yeah, I am still going with my Udemy training on leading virtual teams. Its a 3 hours session. Kinda boring but I am there :)
Music : I am glued to Sa re ga ma pa Kannada in Zee and Haadu Karnataka in Colors. These are the only TV channels I do watch. But I had to tell you, had watched Ramayan today in DD. It was nostalgic. Brought all my old memory back. We had only one black and white TV in our village. All the kids used to assemble at that house with some snacks in hand. We never understood Hindi, but over imagination had no barrier :)
Work out: This is the best part as I had much time. Lost for around 45 minutes. The same earlier set of exercises but increased in their sets.
Write: I didnt write anything much. I need to start doing it regularly. Drafting a plan for it. Thing is, I cant follow the plan when it comes to writing, I will do it when I actually feels like writing :)
Read: I did complete one other chapter of my same book Heartfullness. This is a big book. Hopefully I will finish it sooner.
Afternoon nap, evening tea and video calls filled the gaps in between the day. Thought to bake a mug cake for my sweet craving, but couldnt do it. Need to bake it atleast tomorrow.
The day went quite fine. Getting used to be at home. Its going good so far. :)
