Image
Its Monday today. There are no signs of it though! work from home has taken off the Monday blues. I am least bothered about whats going on in the news. I am now satisfied that atleast milk man is delivering milk on time. I am now fed up with BigBasket, Grofers and Dunzo. Utilizing whatever I have in store as of now. Below are the quick summary of today's activities. Breakfast: Paddu with groundnut chutney Lunch: Home made Flavored curd. This is a simple recipe of a bowl of curd with crushed dry fruits in it along with honey and elachi powder. I have added pistachios, badam, cashews and raisins. As honey was bit less added jaggery as well. This replaces my ice cream cravings :) Dinner: Purple cabbage palya with chapathi  . I must thank my brother for picking this vegetable in this crisis . As he says, purple cabbage was the only vegetable available in the supermarket nearby. Otherwise, I had eaten this as a salad along with any starters. Cooked its palya  along with soaked

Sunday mornings used to be always pleasant as I used to go to nearest park for a jog early in the morning around 6. But from past two weeks I am missing this. I am missing the unknown people but known faces smiling and greeting in the park. The feel of air through the sweat is best part. But listening to soothing music is also a best thing which happened today. Not much worried about the news these days and I have stopped watching TV completely. Just following only twitter out of all the social media accounts. Below were today's accomplishments. Breakfast : Dose with groundnut chutney powder and ghee ( Used last nights left over batter) Lunch: Rice and Dal Snack : Mug choco cake with Ginger tea Dinner: Akki rotti with left over dal from noon. That checked the cooking part. Cleaning: All the mirrors in my home are sparkling. 2 sets of mirrors in guest room wardrobe, dressing table one, two in bathroom and one near dining area. Thanks to 'Sparkle; - A product from Mod

Corona Lockdown - Day 4 - 28th March 2020

I must say, this was a lazy Saturday. I usually start my day around 5 or 5.30 am, but today had woke up around 8. I never understand how my alarms will get turned off themselves on weekends :). Early in the morning while cooking breakfast I usually play Maha Mruthyunajay Manthra 108 time in my bluetooth speaker. I keep the volume low, I feel good listening to Shankar Sahney's Bhajans. They are soothing. Even today, when I started with cleaning last night's utensils in kitchen, was listening to this and it feels really good. Entire nation is locked down. Parents at Coorg, In laws at Mysore and we are in Bengaluru. The communication is through video conferences. Thanks to Whatsapp and Duo video calling features. I am certain this Corona will leave earth sooner. I was curious to know , once this pandemic is over, how people tend to behave. Whether they still wear mask, do we still use sanitizer all the time, do we get used to be at home and chill out, do we get used to work fro

So much of hungama eveywhere. People are gathering at mosques, at provisional stores and on roads when government had strictly prohibited and social distancing has been a strict norm. But people are behaving their own ways. One thing I noticed in this period is, my screen time on my mobile is increasing. My next goal is to bring it down. But, today is Friday,  but that doesn't bringing me any joy as earlier because I have to be at home no matter what. Its been two week since I have gone out and felt the sun. Sometimes I feel really good about this period as I am getting sometime for my undone thoughts. Today's tasks goes like this. Breakfast : Akki rotti ( last nights dough) with egg burji Lunch : Cucumber and fried ground nuts ( wasnt hungry) Dinner: Veg pullav Cooking is checked. Work out : Today, I did workout and sent a 10 minutes work out challenge to my brothers as well. It was a good time. 10 - squats, 10 - knee pushups, 25- jumping jacks, 5 - inch worms, 1.2

The news on corona is everywhere and people are panicking . It hasn't left the rich , the poor, the developed nations, the developing nations or the beautiful destinations like Italy. Prince Charles also is the victim , India's president Ramnath Kovind also is being suspected of it. Crazy stuffs on TV with horrifying sound. I am not looking into these TV news, whatsapp forwards , social media on the updates. My day continued with the list I made yesterday. Breakfast - Vegetable Upma Lunch - Curd Rice Dinner - Akki rotti with garlic chutney pudi and Paneer Tikka So my cooking is done. Corona Lockdown - Day 1 - 25th March 2020

The pandemic is killing many across the world. We are all certain that this too shall pass and we will come out of it very soon. The whole country is locked down to combat this Chinese Corona Virus. When we look these days back few years from now, how do we tell our children what happened to country and how we survived. For that, I thought of penning down whatever happened day wise. Obviously I remembered Ann Frank when this thought came to my mind. She was just 13 years and she could write a complete day to day activities until she was alive, why not me when the lock down is only for few days or a month. Day 1 - 25th March 2020. Today is Ugadi day. Maid is not supposed to come, its a locked down time. Had to getup early. As seen my parents doing these festivals with much devotion, somehow I am aligned to this too. Sweeping and wiping the floor was a good morning exercise. washing the vessels was my arms workout. Rule number one for any festival from my mother is , not touching an
