Corona Lockdown - Day 13- 6th April 2020

The days of the weeks are rolling faster. The lock down is still imposed for this week, as per the news readers in the TV channels this might get extend to few area still. I am hoping for this to end sooner. Now I know how we take our freedom for granted. Going out for groceries and for shopping was always easier and we were lazier then, now the need of the hour is to get all the essentials but we cannot go out! I am not sure how others are feeling, but I am enjoying this time. Apart from the office tasks , I have chunked my time to fit for my hobbies.

A fruitful day! Checked all the things I had in my list.

Breakfast: Uppittu and Kesaribath.

Lunch: Rice , chicken fry and Doddapathre Thambuli (Doddapatre is a green leaf , will be ground with coconut, green chillies , jeera and garlic to a nice paste. And is seasoned  with mustards, curry leaves and hing. Sour curd or buttermilk is added into this paste makes this Thambuli.

Dinner: Same as lunch, but tried a different variety of chicken for the first time, that is my new learning.

Meditate: I missed the morning session as there a customer call. But took the session at 1 and also at 7.30 PM

Read: I started a book named "The way of the Heart". This book was gifted by my friend and is published by Shri Ram Chandra Mission. This is about know hows of meditation.

Music: I am enjoying the instrumental tracks. I was listening to this flute track which was very soothing. Link below.

Write: This is my write up. I was cleaning my blog lately. Found around 55 drafts, I feel good for my younger self to pick up and write what I felt. Feels good to read them  :)

Clean: I did clean kitchen - this requires peace of mind! The kitchen cupboards need to be cleaned as well. Keeping this for weekend.

Work out: Complete 32 minutes non stop work out to pearls of wet!! It was a accomplished feel! My stamina is increasing. I can hold elbow plank for 1.42 minutes now. I am slowly but steadily reaching 2 minutes.

New learning: I am not a KFC lover as I had seen how they rear their chickens. But I like the crispy part of their fried chicken. Had chicken in fridge , thought of making fried Chicken. Kebabs are the usual ones I make. Googled and thought to make the  near to KFC style fried ones. Missing part is couldn't click picture of the outcome ( we were busy enjoying them :) ).
Its just the 1.5 part of all purpose flour mixed with 2 parts of corn flour, chilli powder, garam masala, little salt and garlic powder. Mix these dry items(no water pls). Take out the marinated chicken in butter milk, salt, cloves and slit green chilly, dab the chicken slice into the dry powder said above and fry them in oil. Simple! yet tastes better.

(Plating is the new thing I am picking when I started clicking for  my blog, This uppittu Kesari bath was the only one I liked  so far:) )
